We think that Inveraray, Argyll, at the head of Loch Fyne on Scotland’s west coast is hard to beat! The setting is spectacular, on the drive from Glasgow you will meet with the most beautiful scenery, by the banks of Loch Lomond through Arrochar and over the famous ‘rest and be thankful’ before coming upon the ancient bridge close to Inveraray Castle and into the old town itself. This is Campbell country but McDonalds, Cameron’s, Macleod’s and every other clan and visitor are sure of a right hearty welcome!

The Paymasters House, with it’s central location, nests amongst this atmospheric town which boasts a traditional Scottish Jail, a Town Pier and the historic home of the Duke of Argyll…….to name but a few of the local places of interest.
